How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight? By Jan Yolen & Mark TeagueHow Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight? is a two-fold bedtime adventure, and is awesome for those little ones who are trying to get a little more awake time. The first part of the book deals with questions about dinos, and whether they use children's tricks, such as crying or stomping their feet to go to bed. The answer is no, and we see dinos give hugs and kisses and go to bed in a timely fashion. It is a good primer, but also the inside covers and each dino's bedrooms have the proper name for each dino which kids absolutely love.

Dinosaurumpus By Tony MittonWe love this book which can be as interactive as you want it to be! This basic storyline is all about a group of dinosaurs throwing a dance party. If the narrator has ever secretly wanted to act, this is the book for them, because the words such as 'shiver,' 'snip-snap,' and 'thwack' make this one a giggler for adults and kids alike. We have seen folks who love the way it sounds and the brightly colored illustrations, but we also know some people who use the illustrations as suggestions for starting their own dance party in the living room. There's nothing like the whole family throwing a dinosaur dance party to work up an appetite for dinner.

The Ravenous Beast By Niamh SharkeyThe Ravenous Beast is sooooo hungry, he could eat a horse. Well, not a horse, actually, but a house. He tells some friends about the rumble in his belly, and all of them from the cat to the whale claim that they are the hungriest, and explain all about what they would like for lunch. The beast, however, tops 'em all in the end in kind of a big-brother-teasing-you kind of way. The gobbley, munchy, crunchy words make for an awesome read, and you could have a great big chase scene at the end if you wanted. An awesome daytime read.
